Frequently Asked Questions
Is Telegram Web as secure as the app?
Telegram Web uses the same encryption as the mobile and desktop apps for regular chats. However, Secret Chats are not available on Web because they require device-specific encryption keys. For maximum security, use the native app.
Can I use Telegram Web on my phone browser?
Yes. Telegram Web works on mobile browsers, though the experience is optimized for desktop screens. The native Telegram app provides a much better mobile experience.
