Binance Reopens Bitcoin Withdrawals After $6.3B Hack

Binance has begun phase one of its withdrawal recovery, reopening the Bitcoin network after a hack that moved approximately $6.3 billion in digital assets. The exchange suspended withdrawals following Thursday’s attack, which the FBI attributed to North Korean operatives.

Binance said services will return gradually, prioritizing tokens and networks based on recent user demand. Each asset pair must pass security and stability checks before withdrawals are restored, and users are being directed to Binance’s withdrawal and network-status pages for current availability. The exchange warned of congestion, longer processing times and temporary delays during the phased rollout.

Cointelegraph reported that Binance had replenished 90% of the assets taken in the hack, up from 80% the previous day. The company remains focused on restoring withdrawals in a controlled manner while preventing further losses and maintaining operational stability.
