Bitcoin ETFs Recover $301M, Ending Two-Week Outflow Streak
U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded approximately $301 million in net inflows last week, ending a two-week stretch of capital outflows. The recovery followed losses of about $228 million the previous week and $680 million the week before. Despite the positive weekly result, October net outflows remained at roughly $314 million, according to Farside Investors data.
Bitcoin ETFs attracted $1.08 billion between Monday and Wednesday as BTC reached a weekly high of $84,777, according to CoinGecko. That rally was followed by approximately $774 million in withdrawals on Thursday and Friday. At publication, Bitcoin was trading near $80,025, down about 3.3% over the previous seven days.
Market maker DWF Labs found that ETF investors sold during seven of eight Bitcoin corrections of at least 15% since U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs launched in January 2024. “ETF investors aren’t the dip buyers people think they are,” DWF said. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index also fell to 50, indicating a neutral sentiment, from 59 and “Greed” a week earlier.
U.S. spot Ether ETFs had a weaker week, posting approximately $221 million in net outflows for a fourth consecutive weekly decline, also according to Farside Investors. The data highlights continued demand for short-term Bitcoin ETF exposure despite recent volatility. All investments and trades carry risk, and readers should conduct independent research.
