Capital B Buys 376 BTC for $29.5M, Surpasses H100 Among European Bitcoin Treasuries
French Bitcoin treasury company Capital B has acquired 376 BTC for 25.3 million euros (approximately $29.5 million), bringing its total holdings to 3,521 BTC. The purchase was funded by roughly 30.1 million euros ($35 million) in capital raises, including a private placement backed by crypto figures Adam Back and TOBAM. Swissquote Bank Europe executed the trade at an average price of 67,182 euros per coin, while Taurus provided custody. Capital B has now spent a cumulative 309.4 million euros on its Bitcoin treasury, at an average cost basis of 87,878 euros per BTC.
The acquisition — Capital B's largest since September 2025, when it purchased 551 BTC for 54.7 million euros — moved the company to 25th among publicly traded firms by Bitcoin holdings, according to BitcoinTreasuries.net. It also pushed Capital B 15 BTC ahead of Sweden-based H100 Group, which had briefly held the position of Europe's second-largest corporate Bitcoin holder after acquiring Norwegian companies with 2,455 BTC in an all-share deal in August. Germany-based Bitcoin Group SE remains ahead of both with 3,605 BTC.
While some firms have been unwinding their Bitcoin positions — including K Wave Media and Sequans Communications — others continue aggressive accumulation. Japan-based Metaplanet acquired 2,823 BTC during Q2 for roughly $222 million, reaching 43,000 BTC and the third spot among public corporate holders, behind Michael Saylor's Strategy and Twenty One Capital. Strategy itself resumed buying in August after a two-month pause, acquiring 4,603 BTC for $370 million and bringing its total to 845,050 BTC, acquired for a combined $63.3 billion.
