Circle Integrates USDC and EURC Stablecoins Into SAP via Tereina Partnership
Circle has partnered with SAP-backed Tereina to bring its USDC and EURC stablecoins directly into enterprise payment workflows used by SAP's global customer base. The integration will allow businesses to send and receive Circle's stablecoins from within SAP's financial software, eliminating the need to switch to a separate platform for digital asset transactions. USDC will serve as the preferred stablecoin for dollar-denominated transactions, while EURC will handle euro-denominated payments.
Tereina provides embedded payment infrastructure that integrates into existing business software, making it a natural bridge for bringing stablecoin functionality to SAP's ecosystem — which the companies note generates 84% of global commerce. According to the announcement, Circle and Tereina plan to test the stablecoin integration with select customers over the coming months, targeting use cases including global payments and treasury operations.
The move comes shortly after Circle launched the mainnet of Arc, its layer-1 blockchain purpose-built for stablecoin payments and financial markets. Arc uses USDC for transaction fees and supports more than 20 fiat-backed stablecoins, including both USDC and EURC. The SAP integration extends Circle's strategy of embedding its stablecoins into mainstream enterprise and financial infrastructure, positioning USDC and EURC as practical settlement tools for cross-border business transactions at scale.
