Crypto News Today: Nvidia Eyes $10B Anthropic IPO, Blockstream Refuses Liquid Hack Ransom
Nvidia is reportedly in talks to invest up to $10 billion in Anthropic, potentially making the AI startup's upcoming public offering the largest IPO in history. According to Reuters, citing people familiar with the matter, Anthropic is seeking to raise as much as $100 billion at a valuation near $2 trillion. The investment would deepen ties between Nvidia, a key chip supplier to Anthropic, and provide the AI firm with a strategic anchor backer ahead of its market debut. Both Nvidia and Anthropic declined to comment on the ongoing negotiations, which remain subject to change.
Meanwhile, Swiss crypto financial services firm Bitcoin Suisse is preparing to relocate up to half of its 120 Swiss-based positions overseas as part of a broader international expansion. According to Finews, approximately 60 back-office and administrative roles will be moved to lower-cost hubs in Bratislava and Vietnam, where the company plans to open a new office in the coming years. CEO Andrej Majcen emphasized that the restructuring is driven by cost efficiency rather than weakness in the crypto market, with the firm aiming to scale its wealth and asset management operations globally from its Zug headquarters.

The hackers reportedly still hold nearly 600 BTC from the breach, which originally stole over $90 million in assets. Blockstream's refusal underscores a growing trend among crypto firms adopting firm stances against extortion rather than negotiating with threat actors.
