NYSE-Blockchain.com Tokenized Stocks Deal, Raiffeisen-Bitpanda Expansion, CFTC Warning
The New York Stock Exchange and Blockchain.com have signed a memorandum of understanding to bring tokenized US stocks and ETFs to crypto users through NYSE's planned digital trading platform. Under the proposed arrangement, Blockchain.com will distribute tokenized equities and ETFs traded on NYSE's digital alternative trading system, pending regulatory approval. The companies also plan to exchange market data, with ICE Data Services distributing Blockchain.com crypto data while Blockchain.com incorporates select ICE and NYSE feeds. The move intensifies competition among Kraken, Nasdaq, Binance, Coinbase, and Robinhood, all of which are building tokenized equity offerings. Tokenized stocks have surged to $3.14 billion in distributed value as of Wednesday, up more than 18% over the past month, according to RWA.xyz.
