Underdog Taps zerohash to Add Crypto Deposits to Prediction Markets
Prediction market operator Underdog has partnered with crypto infrastructure provider zerohash to enable cryptocurrency and stablecoin deposits through its app. Expected to launch later this year, the feature will let eligible users fund their accounts around the clock with near-instant transfers. Underdog has not disclosed which digital assets will be supported.
The new funding option is designed to remove technical barriers by eliminating the need for users to manage wallet addresses or select blockchain networks. It will also complement Underdog’s existing deposit methods, including debit and credit cards, Apple Pay and traditional bank transfers.
Founded in 2020, Underdog reports more than 11 million registered accounts. IG Group agreed in July to acquire the platform for up to $1.3 billion, with the transaction expected to close in late 2026 or early 2027.
Underdog recorded $1.4 billion in trading volume during the 30 days ending Oct. 21, according to DeFiRate data—a 133% increase from the preceding period. Its activity remains below Kalshi’s $81.5 billion and Polymarket’s combined $17.2 billion across its US and international platforms.
