Webull Launches Crypto Trading in Canada with Coinbase
Webull is expanding its Canadian platform to include cryptocurrency trading through a collaboration with Coinbase. The self-directed brokerage will use Coinbase’s Crypto-as-a-Service infrastructure for the underlying trading and custody services, adding digital assets to its existing lineup of stocks, exchange-traded funds and options in Canada.
Webull’s Canadian website currently lists 10 cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) and Solana (SOL), and indicates that additional assets are available. The launch extends Webull’s crypto footprint, which already includes the United States, Australia and Brazil, as the company seeks to serve growing demand from Canadian retail investors.
The expansion comes as digital asset ownership in Canada increases. Citing Ontario Securities Commission research, Webull said crypto ownership reached 25% in 2026, up from 10% in 2023. Canadian regulators are also moving toward clearer industry rules, including a proposed Stablecoin Act introduced after the 2025 federal budget that would establish requirements for domestic and foreign stablecoin issuers.
