WisdomTree and MoonPay Partner to Expand Tokenized Treasury Fund Access
WisdomTree and MoonPay have announced a strategic partnership designed to broaden US investor access to tokenized money market funds, marking a significant development in the convergence of traditional finance and blockchain-based assets. Under the agreement, WisdomTree will leverage MoonPay's payments and distribution infrastructure to create a new access point for its WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund (WTGXX), a tokenized money market mutual fund engineered to maintain a stable $1 share price. The fund currently holds approximately $1.23 billion in assets, according to RWA.xyz data, and recorded net inflows of $466 million over the past 30 days, making it one of the fastest-growing products in the tokenized US Treasury market.
MoonPay, a financial technology firm specializing in fiat-to-digital asset infrastructure with a network exceeding 35 million accounts, will integrate WTGXX into its stablecoin reserve management stack. The company launched its enterprise stablecoin business in November 2025 and currently issues dollar-denominated stablecoins across multiple blockchains, backed by US dollars and high-quality liquid assets held in segregated accounts. By incorporating WTGXX into its reserves, MoonPay signals growing institutional confidence in tokenized Treasury products as a credible yield-bearing collateral option for stablecoin issuers.
The broader tokenized US Treasury market stood at roughly $15.4 billion at the time of the announcement, with WTGXX and Ondo's US Dollar Yield fund (USDY) being the only two products registering positive net flows during the prior 30-day period, USDY adding $66 million. WisdomTree, which manages approximately $176.7 billion in total assets, indicated the collaboration could extend to additional tokenized funds and potentially expand into international markets beyond the United States. The partnership reflects an accelerating trend of traditional asset managers and crypto-native infrastructure providers joining forces to bring regulated, blockchain-based yield products to a wider retail and institutional audience.
